They have amazingly clear treb and an amazing bass. The other thing they have is an amazing drum sound. I got these to exercise with and found the sound to be good. Not as good as my in-ear Shures, but good.



The problem is that the fit is horrible. The sit in your ear at an angle that makes the front of my ear start to hurt within 5 minutes and the pressure inward from the headand is significant making the center of your ear hurt within 15 minutes.



My head is not that large, but the at-rest width of these headphones is like 5 inches. They don't work for me. Thankfully, they were cheap.

I thought they were the iPod headphones but was mistaken. These were really flimsy and made out of that cheap plastic that is really annoying. I don't know how to discribe it. My friend found a pair of ACTUAL iPod headphones in her house and didn't know where they came from because she's enver owned an iPod, so she traded me the cheap-o's I bought off Amazon for them. So hey... not gonna complain. I got what I wanted in the end. Haha. I got what I paid for them. They worked like iPod headphones... falling out when you turned your head... putting music into your ear like every other in-ear headphone on the market.

I ordered this product expecting active noise reducing headphones. I was disappointed to see that there was no active noise reduction. The Amazon product description said, "The noise-dampening function also makes the EH-150 a great choice for airplane, train, or bus travel". What noise dampening function? I will say the sound quality of the headphones is very good. I don't feel that the headphones are unduly tight but regarding the complains about the earpieces, I totally agree! I find them very uncomfortable. I like headphones that fit totally over the ears. These don't fit totally over the ears or totally on the ears. I find the fit very irritating and keep reaching up trying to adjust the ear pieces to make them more comfortable. I can see how they would hurt the ears after wearing them for a while, especially if you wear glasses, which I do to read. It's too bad Sennheiser didn't make the ear pieces just a little larger. I like the sound but would have bought something different if I had known about the fit.

Brilliant sound quality, maybe the best I've heard in a pair of $60 headphones. Totally worth the money. The only thing I would change is at times, they can be a bit uncomfortable (the plastic on the inside of the ear can hurt at times, so they will take getting used to) but are absolutely worth the money. I got the headphones on sale for $25 and use them on an everyday basis. For $60, though, some more comfortable (still Sennheiser) headphones might be a better buy. Know that when you buy these headphones, you will be astounded by the quality, but the comfort could make you question why you bought them.

These earphones are good for their price, but I've owned the typical iPod earphones and some cheap Sony and they fit better in my ear.

Sometimes I would get them to fit in real tight and the sound would be flawless and amazing in your head, but then they start to irritate my ears and make them sore. I absolutely have to get them out.

Usually, I would just put them in my ears loosely, because of the above situation is not desired for too long, but I put them in enough that it felt still and the sound was good (not great unless you turn it up). When I would walk a little and kind of pull on the cord, it would instantly fall out! They slip right off. It's really frustrating.

My roommate once told me that when your ear buds are stimulated by sound, they liquidate the ear wax in your ears and that's why you shouldn't share earphones. With these, you are putting them further in your ear and ear wax always manages to get onto them. You should clean them off or change the rubber things frequently, but the hole in the middle probably still gets that stuff up in it. :\ GROSSSS

I only bought these because they were cheap and my earphones always break. I haven't ran into any problems yet other than those, and they still bother my ears from time to time. I think you should consider the above.

 "No complaints for the price!" 2009-11-28

For under $25 you're getting some good headphones. Prior to these I was using a set of headphones I got from JetBlue for $1 that actually held up really well for almost a year. After that, I decided to get a pair that came with a wire longer than 3 ft and actually worked reasonably well. I purchased a pair last year around this time so I wouldn't have to spend $100+ on a "good quality pair". Well, 1 year later they are working the same as I bought them a year ago.



Pros:



* For a $25 pair of headphones, sound is good! (each ear offers choice of music or movie mode).

* Sound canceling is decent.

* Overall sound for the price is pretty good.

* Comes with a really long cord. Coming from a 3 ft. cord, this is handy when you want to get up and move around (however a trip hazard if you don't contain it!).



Cons:

* Not very comfortable after 1+ hours of use (ears are fine but head strap gets annoying).

* Not breathable at all (start sweating after 10 minutes of use, have to take off for a minute so my ears can dry).

* Noisy (of course, I've had these for over a year so that's to be expected). They creek and crack every time I put them on or move them (which ultimately wakes up the wife sleeping nearby).



Overall, an excellent value for the money and would recommend for under $25!!!

Sony MDR-XD200 MDRXD200

the sound is rich and immersive. mp3 files sound really good. it hides the mp3 artifacts for low quality files. voices sound very perfect and deep with great range. the letter s and the letter f are wet it does not sound like a whistle. I can listen to youtube videos. which are low quality. and still feel like they are high quality. basically the sony makes low quality files sound high quality and rich and very very rich which is amazing. It has a bigger more comfortable cup. The only drawback is that it doesn't block outside noise. overall the sony is more comfortable and I can wear it for longer periods and the loudness of the volume is very moderate and comfortable. for example. I could put the volume really high and still be able to listen to it without feeling annoyed.



Sennheiser HD 202 HD202

the sound is more live and near. not as immersive. you can clearly hear mp3 artifacts. in fact even high quality mp3 files sound pitched with squeekiness. voices sound too squeeky clear. the letter s and the letter f are heard in a high end pitch. like the letter s is more squeeky and not wet. it sounds like someone is blowing a whistle into your year which I don't like. the only benefit the HD 202 has is that it is a closed cup so outside noise is muffled out. It has a smaller cup compared to the sony. the sennheiser at loud volumes sounds annoying.



I also got J2 earbuds and koss clipon sports earpads which I both didn't like. The Sony MDR-XD200 is by far the best.
